Dads are quiet keepers. They won't tell you about the things they've saved, but they've kept them. The medals, the school reports, all the homemade Father's Day cards and school artwork.
These are the special keepsakes dads have saved in their memory cases, and what makes each keepsake so important to them.
Father's Day Cards
He kept all the cards. The very first scrawl in crayon and finger paint, the ones brought home from school that had more colour than words. The cards from their teenage years, when you kept it short because they weren't sure what to say and were maybe “too cool” for it. Because reading them back feels like watching them grow up all over again, one card at a time.

Football memorabilia
The memories from the thing they loved most as a child, and let's be honest, still love now. A programme from a match their dad took them to. A sticker that never made it into the album. The scarf they wore until it fell apart. Long before they became someone's father, they were a boy making memories on the pitch.

Artwork by their children
The painting from Year 2, that was supposed to be a house, but looked more like a very colourful accident. The self-portrait that didn't look anything like them but was absolutely, unmistakably theirs. He kept it all because to him, everything they made was (maybe not a masterpiece) but a piece of them.
Love letters
Worn out and well read, he kept them because some words are too important to throw away. Before he was their dad, he was your husband. Loving and knowing you brought him them, so those letters mean the most.
His first teddy
Loved till it was in tatters, one eye missing, fur worn away in the places he held it tightest. A reminder that they were once small too and of all the memories that made them a good dad.
Letters from their children
The little letters from their kids are something we find dads often keep. Apology letters that they slid under your bedroom door, or little notes left for them drawn in marker. These notes mean more than you would think, and are often found in dads' memory boxes.

Not sure what to get your dad or husband for Father's Day? Why not give him the gift of memories with the perfect memory box for him to keep all his keepsakes.
